Cal Lutheran Cares Day 2026

The Bachelor’s Degree for Professionals is an accelerated bachelor’s degree completion program designed for working adult students.  The majority of the students transfer in with more than 60 credits, and their average entrance GPA is 3.07.  Some students have been chipping away at their degree for 5-6 years, for others it has been a journey 20 years in the making.  Professionals Undergrad has the most diverse student population at Cal Lutheran across age (20-65+ years of age), life experience, work experience, as well as race & ethnicity.  Some of the students are stay-at home parents, others are admin assistants, some are young professionals, a few are even CEOs and business owners. Nearly 15% of our students are affiliated with the military. Over 70% of the students are first-generation college-goers (the first in their families to attend college). Nearly 60% of our students are of great financial need (a rate higher than Cal Lutheran’s traditional undergraduate & graduate student populations).

The Unstoppable Scholarship was developed to give financial support to those close to completing their degree.  We have a number of students who run out of funds toward the end of their degree (they may not be able to pay for their classes, books or even food).  This scholarship has been the difference between these students completing their degree or pausing their degree completion for a year or more (which keeps them from increasing their earnings and pursuing their dreams).  Students have received awards of $500-$2000.
