Strategic Initiatives

A university’s success is shaped by purposeful, inclusive, and transparent planning processes that bring myriad constituents together to build and strengthen the common good. The campus-wide initiatives that could be accelerated by Cares Day Support include the following:

Implementing year-two initiatives of the 2022-2027 Strategic Plan whose highlights include moving 11 Bachelors Degrees for Professionals programs online, constructing an outdoor classroom/student program space, and contracting for a new calendar and events management program.
Supporting key Campus Plan initiatives such as entering the next phase of Ahmanson Science Renovations, designing and installing the Thousand Oaks campus way-finding system, and utilizing our natural environment for mission-driven spaces and places.
Advancing Cal Lutheran’s first integrated Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice Plan.

Heart of Gold Challenge

An incredibly generous anonymous donor—who wants to inspire Cal Lutheran students, staff, faculty, alumni, families, Regents, other donors, and the entire Cal Lutheran community—will release a $1 Million Dollar Estate Gift when the Cal Lutheran Cares Day leaderboard crosses the $650,000 mark—honoring our 65th anniversary—in support of any cause on the leaderboard through midnight tonight!
