The Presidential Strategic Initiatives Fund is designed to provide the University President financial resources needed to jump-start innovative programs and services that align with emerging strategic priorities or bolster existing successful programs that need further support. Such priorities include student success, and campus and community partnerships. Successful programs and services that can be further strengthened include those that focus on the embodiment of our mission and identity; those that operationalize the Lutheran traditions during the rigorous and exciting pursuit of truth; and those that make our campus a beautiful and welcoming space for all.

In his 2025 State of the University address, Interim President John Nunes called for "Re-bridging to the Past, Present, and Future" - connecting our cherished mission with our dynamic present community while boldly investing in tomorrow's legacy.
