What is Cal Lutheran Cares Day?
Cal Lutheran Cares Day is our annual giving day dedicated to supporting the university and making a direct impact on students by funding scholarships, academic programs, student services, athletics, and other vital initiatives.
How do I make my gift?
Choose your fund and give a gift securely online.
Can anyone participate?
Absolutely! Support from everyone in the Cal Lutheran community (alumni, friends, family, faculty, staff, and students) counts on this day.
How can I help spread the word about Cal Lutheran Cares Day?
There are so many ways you can show your Cal Lu spirit! Help spread the word on social media among your family and friends by promoting #CalLutheranCares. Every gift matters and many are matched by generous donors, doubling your donations.
When will the official Cares Day totals be announced?
The donations received on Cal Lutheran Cares Day represent gifts made primarily from March 26 - April 9. However, Cal Lutheran Cares Day will accept donations through April 25. Gifts are also being made through other channels and will be added to the overall total of the day. Official totals will be available on May 12, 2025.

What does my gift support?
You get to decide what your gift supports. Choose from a variety of causes that range from student athletics to undergraduate and graduate programs to Cal Lutheran community programs and other initiatives.
Is my gift tax-deductible?
Yes. California Lutheran University is a non-profit institution. You will receive an email receipt after you’ve made your gift.
